Prompts

The Prompts section lets you manage the questions and topics you track in your analysis.

Each prompt represents something users may ask AI tools (like ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.).

nBlick checks how AI answers these prompts and shows you:

  • The AI response
  • Which sources are cited
  • Your brand’s visibility
  • Competitor presence

💡 Think of prompts as the exact questions you want AI systems to answer about your market.

What Is a Prompt?

A prompt is a tracked question inside your analysis.

Example:

“What is the most affordable Apple accessory in France?”

Each prompt helps you measure:

  • What AI says
  • Which brands are mentioned
  • Who gets cited
  • How you compare to competitors

Prompts are grouped by category for easier management.

Prompts Dashboard Overview

Inside the Prompts page, you will see:

  • Total number of prompts
  • Active / Inactive status
  • Date selector (to view past results)
  • AI answer preview
  • Citations
  • Actions menu

Active vs Inactive Prompts

You can control which prompts are active.

Status Meaning
Active The prompt is currently being tracked in your analysis.
Inactive The prompt is paused and not included in tracking.

Inactive prompts are saved. They are not deleted.

This allows you to test different strategies without losing past work.

Viewing AI Answers

For each prompt, nBlick shows:

  • A preview of the AI-generated answer
  • A link to view the full response
  • The sources cited in that answer

This helps you understand:

  • How AI explains the topic
  • If your brand is mentioned
  • Which competitors are visible

Citations

Citations show which websites the AI uses as sources.

You can quickly see:

  • If your domain appears
  • If competitors appear
  • Which third-party websites are referenced

This helps you identify visibility gaps.

Actions Menu

Each prompt has an actions menu (three dots).

You can:

Action What It Does
Inactivate Prompt Stops tracking this prompt without deleting it
Delete Prompt Permanently removes the prompt

⚠️ Deleting a prompt cannot be undone.

Date Selector

At the top of the page, you can choose a date.

This allows you to:

  • Track changes over time
  • Measure visibility progress
  • Compare past and current AI answers

Prompt Lifecycle

A prompt goes through these stages:

  1. Creation
  2. Added during analysis setup

  3. Tracking

  4. AI answers are recorded
  5. Citations are monitored

  6. Optimization

  7. You improve content to increase visibility

  8. Pause or Delete

  9. Inactivate if testing
  10. Delete if no longer needed

Best Practices

  • Focus on high-intent, buyer-related questions
  • Track competitor-related prompts
  • Monitor citation changes over time
  • Keep only relevant prompts active

Start with quality, not quantity.

Summary

Prompts help you:

  • Monitor how AI answers key questions
  • Track your brand visibility
  • Analyze competitor presence
  • Improve your AI search performance

They are the foundation of your AI visibility strategy.
